Not a bad way to kick off November?
Ok, what season are we in? Well, it's Novemeber in Sicily!
On Saturday morning we packed our lunch and headed down to the beach to spend some time in the warm sun. There are not going to be too many more days like this one, so when there is the opportunity, we take it!
Dear Jilli, I haven't visited your site for a while so it's been fun catching up on your life in Sicily - and your exciting travels! I miss Italy so it was a lovely little visit which brought back many memories for me. I'm glad to see that you are well and enjoying your Italian life! Ciao, Rosemary
I can't believe that it's getting into winter in Sicily and you're at the beach ... and here I am in Australia's summer with my cardi on and a cold that just keeps persisting!
Have the zeppole made an appearance yet? Eat a truckload of them for me ...
I can't believe you are meant to start hibernating and are enjoying the beach while I'm meant to be enjoying an Australian summer and am sitting at home with a jumper and cold !!
Enjoy the great weather and beaches while it lasts ...
Thanks for the comments! We have been very blessed with good weather. But now,the chill is blowing in. Dips in the sea may have to wait till next year!
Laura- so you're familiar with the zeppole? Yummy!! Our favorite bar happens to make them just about every Sunday in the fall, so we are very fortunate. I certainly will eat a few this weekend!!
I have been carried away to a world that stops to taste the sweetness of the land, and admire all the treasures that their rich black soil provides. Now my journey begins as we enjoy the simple pleasures of the life! We came from different worlds, spoke different languages, but that didn’t stop us. We have our home in Sicily, and many adventures await us. Sicilia is our home!
Sailing across the Gulf of Mexico, I had the pleasure of meeting the most amazing man. Little did I know that he would eventually become the love of my life and would change my world. We were both working aboard a cruise line at the time. He, an Italian Engineer, and I, the featured headlining Vocalist, met at a crew party and the rest is history. Our beginning... Wedding Pictures...
Towns around Mt. Etna
Take a trip around Mt.Etna and visit all the small towns along the way here. Relax and enjoy the scenery on the Ferrovia Circumetnea Train that travels around Mt. Etna.
