Sushi in Sicily
Last night we dined at F.I.S.H Sushi and Oyster Bar. Located on via A. di Sangiuliano, 188/194 in the heart of Catania. I have never been one to frequent a Sushi place, but after last night my thoughts have changed. The meal was great and the mood and atmosphere of F.I.S.H makes the night just special...
I've been reading your blog for a couple of months. I stumbled onto it through a Google search for something totally unrelated :) Anyway, I am a military spouse, also living in Sicily. I have been wanting to try F.I.S.H. I'm happy to hear that it is good and will check it out myself soon!
You will like it! Now we went on a Wednesday night and it was very relaxing. I've heard on the weekends they pack in the people with a DJ... But yes, try it!
Looks like a great atmosphere and tasty sushi! Thanks for sharing. I have eaten at Ossidiana many times and find it to have pretty good sushi and satisfy that urge for culturally diverse food, but I can't help but compare it to what you can get in NYC or LA (which is much better). But, the chef in Ossidiana is Japanese which is a good sign too!
I am not one to judge sushi as I have no real idea what is good sushi and bad. But, for freshness and flavor, F.I.S.H was great! I didn't even think to ask about the chef... :) The "maître d'" was very informative and gentle with us...
We, too, have been wanting to try F.I.S.H. Usually, we go to Oxidiana, which is very good. It's also very easy to find parking nearby, which is probably the main reason that we go there. I HATE trying to find parking in Catania! Can you recommend a good place to park near F.I.S.H.?
I have been carried away to a world that stops to taste the sweetness of the land, and admire all the treasures that their rich black soil provides. Now my journey begins as we enjoy the simple pleasures of the life! We came from different worlds, spoke different languages, but that didn’t stop us. We have our home in Sicily, and many adventures await us. Sicilia is our home!
Sailing across the Gulf of Mexico, I had the pleasure of meeting the most amazing man. Little did I know that he would eventually become the love of my life and would change my world. We were both working aboard a cruise line at the time. He, an Italian Engineer, and I, the featured headlining Vocalist, met at a crew party and the rest is history. Our beginning... Wedding Pictures...
Towns around Mt. Etna
Take a trip around Mt.Etna and visit all the small towns along the way here. Relax and enjoy the scenery on the Ferrovia Circumetnea Train that travels around Mt. Etna.
